The Psychotic Reactions are a 60s inspired, fuzzy vintage trio hailing from the West Coast of Australia. The Walyalup based group are renowned for their vintage
psych sounds and flawless ability to draw together sounds of blues, rock ‘n’ roll and jazz alongside intricate lyricism and meaningful storytelling. Lead singer and creative pioneer of the band, Hannah Smillie, is an absolute icon of the WA music industry, involved in an innumerable number of projects from diverse genres, and a powerhouse multi-instrumentalist. The warm, nostalgic sounds created by the group are beautifully paired with personal song writing, covering the questions and confusions of life, self and others. With a fiercely loyal fanbase and unique cross-genre sound, The Psychotic Reactions have very quickly become a well loved and highly praised band amongst all musical communities across WA.
The band has supported musical legends Jebediah, The Murlocs, The Saints, The Stems, Abbe May and Hideous Sun Demon, along with festival slots at Nannup Music Festival, In The Pines and West Australian Music Festival, and have toured both regionally and to the east coast. With overflowing support from fans, industry and fellow musicians, The Psychotic Reactions continue to create and release garage-psych rock bangers with 2023 looking at multiples single releases and the drop of their second album.
